C = Chocolate Hills

Chocolate Hills

Peace!

One of the most popular landmarks in the country, the Chocolate Hills is a very interesting and unusual sight in the sense that these 1000+ cone shaped hills were all over a land covering 50sq. kilometers. It is called Chocolate Hills because the grasses covering the hills turn brown during summertime, making it look like little chocolate droplets.

It was November of 2008 that I first set foot in Bohol, and of course, would I pass up the chance to see the hills? There were two places where one can see the hills - one can either check it through the Carmen Peak, or through the Sagbayan Peak. These pictures were taken from the Carmen Peak, where one can see a close view of the biggest hill.

Big thanks to my British friend K for taking me here.

Throw Pillows

This month on Ruby Tuesday, I'd show pictures of red things found in our house.

194/365 - Throw Pillows

My mom had this motif of rust/orange in the house - to go with the cream colored walls. All of our curtains and throw pillow cases are either orange or rust, but sometime not too long ago, mom purchased some red and blue curtains, we were a bit puzzled.

But, change is often times a good thing. =)

Succulents

Today's Flowers

Succulents

New month, new set of flowers. Well, not too long ago, I post pictures of flowers from Baguio City, and because I went back there last weekend of July, I noticed I was able to take enough pictures to last a month for Today's Flowers.

Taken from one of the stores at Mines View Park, I found this succulent plant very interesting. For one the leaves were quite flat - and the flower had this long stem, looking like a study lamp. I don't know exactly what this is called, but I found really beautiful.

Tribute

New month, new theme. For this month, I will feature ant pictures! It is very ironic that I am not an ant lover - I really don't like ants as they bite painfully, and whenever I left some food on the table, they will just attack and steal food! However, when it comes to photography, I just love taking picture of these critters!

Ants

This picture was shot March of 2008. My brother and I were in La Union, and after he attended a meeting, we walked to the bus stop where we will be taking our ride back home. I noticed in one of the benches these group of ants trying to carry a much bigger ant, so I asked brother to stop for a while as I take the picture.

I am not sure what the red ants are up to - are they carrying the big black ant to give it a well deserved tribute?

Entertainment

photo hunt

14 - summer activity

In every celebration the Filipino have, there's always a space to the the videoke, or the video karaoke. Filipinos just love singing and whether they have a good singing voice or not, we all will sing our hearts out!

Because my voice isn't that really good, I stay to the ballads whenever I am asked to sing the videoke. However, just for the spirit of fun, I sometimes sing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" or Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive."
