The Cafe in a Can

I try to take as much pictures as I can as I go through my everyday life. There will be days that I sent to sit in my bum all day without so much happening, and there will be days that I have to keep up with time because there are just so many things to do. I do transfer pictures everyday in my PC, but because life events just pile one after another, there will be times that I would completely forget certain pictures taken from before, and would use the fresh pictures here in my blog. Yesterday, I was editing year old pictures (to be uploaded in my Facebook), and found these pictures. It had a lot of red in it, so might as well share these for my Ruby Tuesday post this week.

It was being at the right place at the right time; my family and I walked to the new annex of the mall closest to our place because we needed some things to buy in the hardware. The new annex had this very big space for events, and on that day, Nescafe was promoting their newest product: the ready to drink coffee in cans. They treat people to free taste of their coffee in different flavors, and mall goers were serenaded by a group of people performing some acoustic songs.

There was also the Combi Van where people can pose to have pictures taken - that's my brother and my sister - and there was also a photo booth where people can use props and costumes before getting their pictures taken.

The simple joys of enjoying a great time with the family. So cool!

Just Like a Painting

MellowYellowBadge

Today's Flowers

I admit I am so slow when it comes to updating my albums in my Facebook. Well, being a shutter happy person that I am, I just take a lot of pictures and I just find myself buried deep with so much to edit. Last night, I was editing a set of year old pictures and saw this picture. Not really that pretty, but I love the feel of this photo - it's like painted and not photographed.

This was taken in my Aunt's garden. I took this while vacationing there with my sister. Aunt didn't allow us to leave the house that day, so I just took pictures in and out of the house.

Golden Sunset

19 - Something Golden

Part of the reason for me traveling up north was to watch the Surfing Break 5, and although I was only able to watch the happenings from the first day (it was a three day festival), it was quite enough for me, as I could only take pictures, and the strong, white waves gave me difficulty in taking pictures.

Sometime during lunch 'til the mid afternoon, my friend and I went elsewhere (to maximize our time there), and just returned at the surf site late in the afternoon to watch the sunset. I really took pleasure in taking pictures of people against the golden sunset, and this was one of my favorites from that day.

Kwadro (Frame)

Thunderbird Resorts - La Union

{On the second day of our short vacation in La Union, I took my friend Ria in different churches in the province, and before we returned to our house in Bacnotan, I took her to the Thunderbird Resorts in San Fernando City. It was the most expensive resort I have ever seen (7000 pesos per night), but they do allow tourist to come in the grounds. I like it here - it was like traveling to Greece because the place was patterned after Santorini.}

{I told Ria that the sunset was so beautiful from the boardwalk, so we walked by the pool area to get there. There were holes in the wall by the stairway, so I took a picture of the pool area from one of the holes.}

Hindi man kami nakapag-check in sa resort, ayos na rin... kahit papaano'y naranasan ko kung paano tumuloy doon.

{Although we couldn't afford to stay in this resort, it was all okay for me... at least I was able to experience being there.}

O - Orchids / P - Passiflora

Last Wednesday, I traveled up north for some vacation. I didn't bring my net book with me, so now that I am back, I will make a 2-in-1 post since I wasn't able to blog about my "O" flower last week.

orchids

Initially, my "O" photo is supposed to be "oxalis," but the one picture I resized and watermarked was accidentally deleted, and I couldn't access the DVD-ROM to get the original photo stored in my disc. In my efforts to search flowers starting with "O," I learned about the oleander. I know I have taken a picture of it back then.. but like the previous reason I gave, I couldn't share it for now. Brain dead, I just went for a very obvious choice, "orchids."

Each orchid has their own name, but since people are more familiar calling each as "orchid," I guess this one qualifies for the theme. :) These gorgeous flowers were photographed from the orchid shop in Quezon Memorial Circle during my last visit to the park.

passiflora

My "P" Flower is the "Passiflora," or "Passion Vine Flower," as most people call it. I took this picture at the plant/tree section of the weekend market located at the grounds of Lung Center of the Philippines last May, when my brother and I went to buy some food and other stuff. I couldn't take home any of the plants, so might as well just take a picture of it.
