Smile!

This month on Ruby Tuesday, I will post pictures taken from the 2009 Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City, Benguet. I was privileged to have witnessed it this year - it was my first. This flower festival is held every February in the summer capital of the Philippines.

Panagbenga Festival 2009

I intend to post just faces of people from the parade, but this picture was calling on to me... I don't know why, I guess the smiling faces painted on the basket was just too hard not to pass up. =) The striped cloth was the traditional Igorot cloth. The Igorots are the ethnic people native to this part of the country. But of course, as modernization comes, there are now many tourists, employees and students studying from different parts of the country now living there.

Let the face remind us to start each day with a smile. It only takes a few muscles to do. Have a great Tuesday, everyone!
