May 2009, I traveled to my paternal hometown for the "palagip," a practice wherein the family prays for the souls of all the departed loved ones. Because I am such a daddy's girl, I cannot really let something like this pass. I wanted to be there to help them pray for my dad's soul.
Anyway, one Sunday morning, I attended the mass. It was very early in the morning (6AM), and as I leave the church, I saw this rose plant. I always bring my camera with me wherever I go, and seeing the morning dew on the petals of the flower, I bent over to take a shot. I was only able to take one shot because I spotted my grandma Aida (a very distant relative), and I had to talk to her about the prayers and the small lunch gathering over our house.
