D - Dianthus

I intend to post a picture of dendrobium for this week, but I don't know why I cleared my old files and sadly the image for the dendrobium was part of those wiped out files. I did a search about flowers starting with D, and I was happy that I could participate this week.

I never knew the name of this flower is dianthus. When my sister and I went to Baguio City in 2008, we stayed some hours in Burnham Park, and because there were a lot of flowers around the park, I took pictures of the flowers. At that time, I only had my cell phone as my medium in capturing images, but I was really fortunate that the cell phone I chose had the macro function, so I was able to take pictures well enough to create a depth of field.

Beautiful! I used to have some of these but they fled to other places, I guess.

I've wondered what the name was. Vibrant colors.

Great capture and I love the vibrant color.

This looks a bit like the flower that I know as a 'Sweet William'. I like your depth of field. It makes the Dianthus stand out even more.
