My mom loves planting in our front yard garden. Most of her choice of plants don't really give flowers (she chose it because of their pretty leaves), so when a few of the plants bloom, I really take the time to photograph them.

One of the flowering plants I love is this one. I don't know its name, but purple is my favorite color, and I do love that it has lots of flowers in one bunch. I initially took this picture a year ago, and processed it just now in GIMP.

Here's another look of the flower - I used two rocks as a prop... sort of an "in memoriam" picture.

Simplicity is the word that comes to mind here. Purple (actually purple and teal and shades thereof) is my favorite color too. I love this little photo :)
