This is my third time to go thematic on my posts, and for this round, I am going with flowers.
For letter A, I was thinking of sharing an amaryllis, but all the red amaryllis on file were already posted here in my blog, and although I had pictures of white amaryllis with pale pink streaks, I focused more on the bee trying to cling on its stamen rather than the flower itself, so for this letter, I'd go with anthurium, also known as the Flamingo Lily.
We have about two pots of the anthurium in our house and both are the pink ones. Very generous plant to have at least 3 flowers coming out at the same time, although we really need to trim the plant or transfer them in a bigger pot because the roots are already taking up all the space and that the flowers are now quite smaller than it used to.
This picture was taken sometime in 2009, when the flowers were still quite big.

Lovely Anthurium! my neighbour have a few pots of them , which I always spied upon to be photographed!
Beautiful flower, especially with the water dropletts on it.
I love flowers, just never have the patience to look after them properly!
Beautiful! I don't often see the red anthuriums (anthuria??) just the white, so this is a real treat :-)
Nice.
Don't worry about every week, but pls come when you can.

Beautiful flower. The raindrops are especially nice. :)
Beautiful red flower! Now I understand you when you say that apples don't grow in your country! But I am sure you have other interesting fruits available to you that in the best case have to be imported to us in the north. Mangos maybe?
I like the idea of having a theme for these alphabet-challenges. A flower-theme is a nice idea.
I am having trouble sticking to just one theme. I have a jewellery-theme, an animal-theme, a theme for anything that the children dream up, plus a couple other subject-areas that seem to pop up every so often.
Thank you for visiting!
Best wishes,
Anna
