In 2008, mom and I traveled to her hometown in Bolinao, Pangasinan because one of her younger siblings will be migrating to the US (along with his family), and he invited us for a little get together. It has been a tradition here in the Philippines to do a send off party to people who will be relocating.
On our second night, we went to the fish cages where my aunt's husband work. There we fed the milkfishes, and took a dip in the island shore, and before the sun set, Uncle Arthur fetched us. We decided to sleep in the fish cages (there were huts for the employees there) because we will be traveling to a beach resort the next day, and while waiting for my cousins to vacate the bathroom, I saw the sunset and quickly took my camera to take a shot.
I am much of a sunrise person, but somehow seeing sunsets made me feel as if God was telling me I had been rewarded a great day. I was blessed, indeed.
